As of now trhere is no plan to support Multiple xDSL links under same ML bundle.

As this last post was from 2010:
Are there any updates plans on this?  I can do this pretty easily with e.g. even a c867VAE and am getting pressure to be able to provide an MLPPP solution to our small business customers on VDSL (PTM) with PPPoE.  If it can't be done with SRX, we'll have to swing those users over to Cisco 800-series.

+1 for this functionality, although ideally we would want:

- on SRX100 (two external modems) or SRX110 with the built-in DSL modem + an external modem

- supporting VDSL (PTM) interfaces as well as ATM

- supporting PPPoE

Again: this is workable today in lower end competitor gear.  If we can't get this going on SRX100/110, SRX240, or the upcoming SRX300 series (nevermind the whole SRX100-series -> SRX300-series price point issue), the business side will still want a solution and that will mean Cisco.

How do I configure DHCP option 43 byte-stream with the new JDHCP service

$

Hi,

I've used DHCP option 43 in the past on an SRX to send a vendor specific string as a byte-stream. Here is an example.

set system services dhcp option 43 byte-stream "105 100 58 105 112 112 104 111 110 101 46 109 105 116 101 108 46 99 111 109 59 115 119 95 116 102 116 112 61 49 48 46 49 46 49 46 49 59 99 97 108 108 95 115 114 118 61 49 48 46 49 46 49 46 49"

The byte-stream gets converted into the following ascii text, minus the quotes.

"id:ipphone.mitel.com;sw_tftp=10.1.1.1;call_srv=10.1.1.1"

I have a customer which we have setup using the new JDHCP service as we have several routing-instances (required in routing-instance). When I go to try to setup DHCP option 43 as a byte-stream, this is no longer appears to be available. Is it possible to still do this with JDHCP?

Cheers,

-Chris

I once had this working and then I believe the juniper pulse split happened and I have not been able to connect to the VPN since.  it could be a coincidence.  Any htings to check for if I getting this response back?

Thank you,

Will

Dear engagertc,

@engagertc

I got mine fixed by downgrading from 12.1X46-D40 to 12.1X46-D35 and now it works

Do the same if you need it fixed

I restart everything including router and sometimes it wont fix anything, and one day then it works

Now i need to access things which i was able to do few hours ago and now i cannot

What can i do to resolve htis because i am getting tired of this juniper srx 240 h2 device and just might change it to a fortigate

So please help me. I will post anything you need as long as you provide what commands i need to run

Thanks

"I restart everything including router and sometimes it wont fix anything, and one day then it works"

Do you mean that even after you restart the SRX - sometimes  - you still face the same issue ? Is this issue related to all resources at once ?

Can you share your SRX's configuration ?

Yes i mean even after restarting the router itself i still get this issue

This is only issue with dynamic vpn user not able to access protected resources like private network ips (see below on windows OS mostly)

and this happens even though i will be fully connected as dynamic vpn user

this is something i have had issues with since i bought this router over 2 years ago

sometimes i try to get access to stuffs and i can't and i just giveup ttill another few days then i retry and then it works

funny thing is i am starting to think that this issue of not being able to access private network resources is mostly with Windows OS (tested on windows 7 and now 10 and same issue)

Now that i have a Mac laptop i rarely notice this same issue

As i am typing this i am able to access all my resources on my mac laptop but cant's on windows PC

So this is weird

Pasting my config will contain certain sensitive data, right?

sharing your configuration will not contain passwords , juniper SRX auto encrypt that data , so you don't need to be worry about it .
Also it will contain your public IP addresses, so you can change it to any other IP e.g. 1.1.1.1 2.2.2.2 .. etc .

Also please share your SRX version .

Dear junipersrx240,

With regards to the configuration, you can change your public IP ( internet facing IP ) and default gateway and hash out the passwords ( even the ones for the remote vpn users ) using a random string.

Hello cjones,

1- witch SRX version you're trying to configure that JDHCP on it ?
2- By saying "not available" , do you mean you succeeded to configure it but it is not working ? or do you mean you cannot configure it at all ? if the second one , then please share the line where you stuck in configuring it .
3- Have you tried configuring DHCP option 125 as byte-stream ? I see it documented here : http://www.juniper.net/techpubs/en_US/junos12.1x46/information-products/topic-collections/release-notes/12.1x46/topic-82926.html

Dear junipersrx240,

What version of Pulse Secure are you using on your Windows Devices ? Did you download the latest version from the pulse secure website ?
