Please do not post the link to the PDF for doing offline security package updates. Already have that and managed to manually download the files. The issue now is that it becomes a completely manual process to update the actual SRX not to mention that it requires root access to copy the files to the /var/db directory path.
What I'm looking for is a solution where, as is indicated in other docs, I can stand up my own web server and somehow point the SRX to that site to download and install the updates. There seems to be no documentation on that and just setting up a browseable directory with the .gz files in there doesn't do anything.
So is there a specific web server that needs to be setup? Are there other services that need to be enabled? If I can browse to the url I setup and get a list of files - all the .gz files I downloaded - and I setup the SRX through J-Web to point to that same url, why doesn't it work?
