Re: SRX USB auto install

Hi,

We need to have a USB drive with 3 files on the drive as follows :-

1. Junos image file for upgrading the SRX.
2. autoinstall.conf – This file should contain only <“ “> in its body (without the brackets) . This empty file indicates to the system that the automatic installation of the Junos OS image from the USB device is supported.
3. junos-config.conf - which contains the config to be applied on the SRX.

An important point to note is that if 'Hide extentions for known file types' is enabled on PC(Enabled by default), Windows Explorer creates 'autoinstall.conf' with the '.txt' extension. We need to remove the ‘.txt’ extension so that SRX recognizes and loads the config file after installing the junos image.
